Waiting on Wednesday - River Marked by Patricia Briggs

"Waiting On Wednesday" is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking The Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that bloggers are eagerly anticipating.

This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection from me is:

River Marked by Patricia Briggs

Book Synopsis:
"Car mechanic Mercy Thompson has always known there was something different about her, and not just the way she can make a VW engine sit up and beg. Mercy is a shapeshifter, a talent she inherited from her long-gone father. And she's never known any others of her kind. Until now. As Mercy comes to terms with this new information, an evil is stirring in the depths of the Columbia River. Something deadly is coming, facts are thin on the ground and Mercy feels ill at ease. However, her father's people may know more. To have any hope of surviving, Mercy and her mate, the Alpha werewolf Adam, will need all the resources the shifters can offer. Or death will be the least of their worries."

I've not read any books as yet from Patricia Briggs, so I hope this one works as a standalone book although I know it's in a series...so fingers crossed! I like the sound of it, but really won't have time to read the whole series before reading this, mores the pity. I like books with shapeshifters in and the addition of an Alpha mate should be interesting.

You just have to read the whole series. Some parts you may not understand Urban Fantasy's best read in order. =D

Check out my WOW

Mariya, I found the same with Keri Arthur's series, so I think you're right :)
