Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy for Books.
This week's question comes from Barb who blogs at Sugarbeat's Books:
"Why do you read the genre that you do? What draws you to it?"
I read a huge variety of books. At the moment it's mainly YA, which I love reading mainly because there's less adult orientated themes and more coming of age themes. I like reading about relationships and emotions.
I also enjoy reading thrillers - the kind that make you want to run and hide behind the sofa whilst trying to read with one eye open. I am a big fan of CSI, NCIS, Dexter and Greys Anatomy...so anything along those lines draws me in, especially if it's a book where it keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end...when you think you've sussed the culprit, just to realise you were are completely wrong.
I read biographies and non fiction also. If a person has an interesting or inspiring story to tell, it's one I'll consider. Incidentally, I've got an egalley of The Gift of Fire by Dan Caro
which I'm trying to read on my ereader, but the font is teeny. If anyone knows how to adjust this I'd welcome feedback on it...it's a book I've been trying to read since December but can't due to the font size :(
In general, if there's an attractive plot with interesting characters and interweaving story lines, then it may be one I'll read. I'm fairly adventurous - variety is the spice of life so I've heard :)
