Rating: 5/5 with merits

The cover on this is bright, and easily gives you an idea about the book having something to do with swimming....to be honest I didn't twig that 'the fly' actually meant the butterfly stroke until that part it was explained!

Matt and his two best friends Shaun and Coop always set themselves a challenge for summer break (half term).  This time they get really adventurous and decide it's high time they see a real live girl naked.  Chaos follows when Matt goes all out to impress a girl, and a boy who just scrapes through swimming club steps up and enters himself into tournaments that no one else dare take on.

Swim the Fly is pure escapism at its best....and brought back vivid memories of when fancying someone was the biggest thorn in life...I loved the banter between the friends and the way they handled situations was extremely funny.  From drunken escapades to hair brained schemes and defeating the odds, it was a fantastic read.

This is a hilarious book, which had me in fits of laughter over the boys antics in their pursuit to see a naked girl!!  This is a riot and one which I can easily see on the cinema, having everyone if fits of laughter...I dare everyone to read this and not come away with a very big smile on their face!

Book synopsis:
Fifteen-year-old Matt Gratton and his two best friends, Coop and Sean, always set themselves a summertime goal. This year? To see a real-live naked girl for the first time. But this impossible mission starts to look easy in comparison to Matt's other challenge: to swim the 100 yard butterfly (the hardest stroke known to man) and impress the gorgeous Kelly West.

Aww, this one sounds like such fun! I love swimming (grew up going to swim meets being surrounded by that lovely chlorine smell!) and butterfly is definitely a hard stroke to master. Anyway, would love the chance to read this one, thanks :)
