Waiting on Wednesday - Haunting Violet by Alyxandra Harvey

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection from me is:

 Haunting Violet by Aletxandra Harvey

Violet Willoughby doesn't believe in ghosts, especially since her mother has worked as a fraudulent medium for a decade. Violet has taken part in enough of her mother's tricks to feel more than a little jaded about anything supernatural. The ghosts, however, believe in Violet and she's been seeing them everywhere. One ghost in particular needs Violet to use her emerging gift to solve her murder ...and prevent the ghost's twin sister from suffering the same fate.

I *adore* the UK cover for it's colours and sense of mystery.  It's completely different from the cover of the US version which you can see below:

I don't like comparing authors, however I loved The Body Finder, and this one seems to offer a twist on a similar vein - girl with ghost seeing talent.

This will be a new author for me, but I'm curious to see how it's going to work :)

Thanks for clarifying the cover issue. I didn't think about that one. I have a copy of the US version and was wondering why it looked so different from the others.
