Rating 4/5
The cover on this is in line with the target audience I think, and gives you a snapshot of the type of character Lolly Luck is.
I found this to be a really quick read which I read in one sitting. Lolly is a lovely character – easy to relate to, and easy to like. She’s a person we’ve all been – someone down on her luck and thinking it’s her own fault, and trying as hard as she can to get out of the rut, regardless of her age.
If you like girly & friendship books, then this is a good one for you. There are a few surprising twists to the story which turns the viewpoint on its head and in turn herald changes for Lolly and her family. This isn’t my normal read, so it was a pleasant difference to read something which had a positive ending without much mystery and thriller parts.
