In My Mailbox #6

Hosted by The Story Siren. In My Mailbox is a meme where bloggers can share with you what they received in their mailbox/from library/bought/etc.

My postman had  bit of a break this week - until Saturday hit anyway, and I had two deliveries!  It's got really comical in our household.  Our cat has decided he has a split personality when it comes to deliveries of any kind.  He starts growling as soon as the postman/delivery man approaches the gate - It's really very comical to see in action, I'm sure he thinks he's a dog!

Anyway, here's what came this week, again, no books from the library this week.

Books Received (for the Young Reviewers):

These Storyworld books and cards look fascinating.  The Young Reviewers looked over the first pack as soon as it arrived, and were awed by how beautiful the illustrations were.  We quickly tested the main starter pack, and will be using them more over the coming week, before posting a review.
First impressions - these are mind blowingly gorgeous and detailed.  I think these would make a fantastic gift or stocking filler for children, they are very well presented and present an opportunity for fun and imaginative storytelling.  Thanks go to Templar Publishing for allowing the Young Reviewers to receive these for reviewing, I know they are looking forward to sharing their thoughts on them.

Recieved for review:

I'm looking forward to reading this, and will be popping to the library to pickup the first book in the series to read sometime, so I can read these in order.
The next one in the series is due out in April 2011....I should be ready for it by then :)

I'm *so* looking forward to reading this.  The cover has me more curious than ever!

I received a signed copy from Headline (thank you!).  The first lot of post went missing, so I was relieved that these ones made it safely.

This one's been on my wishlist/reading list for a while for the 2010 YA reading challenge. I'm not sure if I'll read this before the end of December...I'm hoping and aiming to. I love the blue used on the cover.

This was a surprise book.  You can't really tell by the photo, but the lettering and some detail on the cover is yellow...looks like an entertaining read.

My second visit from the postman on Saturday was to deliver my secret santa :=)  A *big* thank you to whomever you are...I'll share in another post once I've uploaded the photo's from my camera...I got some awesome goodies & books...and chocolate as well....I couldn't wait for Christmas to open them :)

Books bought:
I also got a few Christmas presents bought online.  I'm hoping they are going to arrive before Christmas, a book I'd bought from Amazon also arrived midweek,  and I've got a review that is pending for it, as this had to be posted out again quickly.
