Red Telephone launches YA novel competition

RED TELEPHONE BOOKS LAUNCH 
 YOUNG ADULT FICTION NOVEL COMPETITION

UK-based publishers of Young Adult Fiction 
in search for exciting new author

Manchester’s Red Telephone Books want to offer a talented author of young adult fiction the chance to join them in 2011.

The company, which has recently published Alex Smith’s debut novel Calling For Angels, aims to nurture and develop new writers in the YA genre. 


We now require another exceptional author to add to our roster.

Submissions should include three separate documents: -

  • The first 5,000 words of your completed novel
  • A 500-word synopsis of your novel
  • Your 50-word biography

ENTRY FEE - £10

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS - Midnight, December 31st 2011

PRIZES

1st Place – Publication of your novel by Red Telephone Books, 
including full support through the editing process, 
plus pre- and post-launch marketing

2nd Place – A full critique of your novel from the editor

ABOUT RED TELEPHONE BOOKS

Formed in 2009, Red Telephone Books is an imprint of Bridge House Publishing, based in Manchester, UK. We have published three novels in the Young Adult genre to date.

Red Telephone novels are edited by Gill James, the author of over 30 published titles and a lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Salford, with support from publicist Oliver Wright, a first class English graduate (University of Manchester).
