I haven't been around as much as I normally am, as we've had a couple of weeks illness which isn't over yet. This week I'd aimed to do a dragon themed week in parallel with the dragon festival in Norwich, but haven't been able to, so my apologies.
Here's a pick of books in the wings/books currently reading:
Raising Dragons by Bryan Davis
This is a tandem read with me and our eldest reviewer. We started this in late October/early November and we've been reading it steadily, aiming for a chapter per night, and occasionally managing a lot less. We've got two chapters until the finale now. This is the longest book we've attempted as a dual read - I'll read a page, then eldest (aged 8) will read a page. There's 371 pages in total, and the rest is an excerpt from the next book in the series. We're both looking forward to finishing this, as this has certainly been a page turner. I think we'll both be sad to see the story end as its become part of our routine.
Gladiator by Simon Scarrow
When not reading Raising Dragons, our eldest reviewer is buried deep in this book, which he's thoroughly enjoying so far.
The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark by Jill Tomlinson
I bought this book ages ago and started reading it a chapter a night to our youngest reviewer, who couldn't get enough of Plop and his curious questions as he decides that being a night owl isn't so bad.
We've just finished this, so it's scheduled for review.
TimeRiders - Day of the Predator by Alex Scarrow
Hubby finished book 1 (review scheduled) and promptly started this one, book 2. Book 3 which came out the beginning of February is waiting in the wings for him to read also :) Considering he is not a fast reader, he's devouring these!
The E Myth Contractor by Michael E. Gerber
I'm now providing Virtual Assistance to businesses in addition to my other skills, and had been recommended this series of books to read. It's a fairly thin book but is packed with a no nonsense approach which I found refreshing to read.
Another review being scheduled :)
That's it for now - I'm currently not reading anything, as I think I've got the beginnings of flu which I've managed to avoid so well up til now.
Have a great weekend!
